James Troy Lee,”JT” 82, of Florence went Home to be with the Lord on April 26, after an illness. JT loved the Lord Jesus, his church, the Gospel Temple, his beloved wife, Juanita and his family. Dollywood held a special joy for him and Juanita and particularly the tall water rides. He recounted often that the rush of the drop to the "big splash" never got old. They enjoyed meandering through the little mountain towns and people-watching in Maggie Valley and Pigeon Forge. He had a passion for fishing, spending many hours on the lakes of Santee in pursuit of the ultimate catch, making memories with friends and family along the way. He was a faithful sponsor and supporter of the local Southern Gospel community, volunteering his time and energies to promote concerts and encourage attendance. JT spent his career in the food service industry as a salesman, retiring from US Food Service, formerly PYA/Monarch after over 30 years of merited service. JT enjoyed the friendship and respect of his customers, including but not limited to the Florence Greek restaurant community. JT leaves behind his loving wife of 30 years, Juanita; 9 children, Debbie Floyd (Steve), Donnie Lee (Wendy), Jimmy Lee (Suzanne), Vicki Carraway (Jeff), Billy Lee (Brenda), Tommy Lee (Angela), Bunnie Weatherford (Bubba), Betty Moore-Bell (Michael) and Susan Kirkland (Ricky); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, a sister, Janie Lee Kosh and several nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved dearly.
