JAMES LEROY LANGSTON FLORENCE, SC James Leroy Langston, 84, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2015. Mr. Langston was born in Florence County, SC, a son of the late William “Bill” Langston and Ada McKnight Langston.He was a veteran of the US Army and a member of Church of God of Prophecy. He is predeceased in death by his wife, Louise Kirby Langston, who passed away July 3, 2014; his sister, Mary Bell Springs and his brothers, Billy Langston and Hubert Langston. Surviving are his son, James “Jimmy” L. (Tama) Langston, Jr. of Florence; daughters, Debbie (Andrew) Ranck of West Columbia, Linda (Buck) Howellof Johnsonville and Mamie (Jimmy) Keels of Florence; grandchildren, Brent Langston, Jennifer Brigman, Al Welch and John Welch; great-grandchildren, Stormy Brigman and Brandon Brigman; great-great-grandchild, Hayden-Ann Louise Brigman; and his siblings, Louise Bingham and Elizabeth Wright. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, February 9, 2015, at Church of God of Prophecy.Interment will follow at Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Church of God of Prophecy, 426 S Church St, Florence, SC 29506.
