James "Jim" Martin Turbeville

James “Jim” Martin Turbeville, III, 71, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2014, at McLeod Hospice House. Mr. Turbeville was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late James Martin Turbeville, Jr. andOlean Davis Turbeville.He worked at Nucor for a number of years before going into auto sales.Mr. Turbeville was a veteran of the US Army and served three years with the 82nd Airborne during Vietnam.He loved sports and was an avid Nebraska Cornhusker fan. Surviving are his wife, Jane Faust Turbeville; his daughter, Lynn (Lewis) Bell of Florence; his son, Jay Belangia of Florence; his brothers, Toby (Bonita) Wayne Turbeville, Sr. of Darlington, Samuel (Joan)Tracy Turbeville of Florence and Johnnie Martin Turbeville of Summerton; his sister, Marlene T. Askins of Garden City; his uncles, Bill Turbeville of Turbeville, Wright Turbeville of Manning and Henry Turbeville of Summerton; and his aunt, Patsy Cox of Hebron. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
