James J. "Jimmy" Hanna

James J. “Jimmy” Hanna, Jr., 68, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, October 31, 2018, at McLeod Hospice House surrounded by his family. Mr. Hanna was born the son of the late Virginia Reese Foster and James J. Hanna, Sr.He was a veteran of the US Navy and a member of Transfiguration of Our Savior Greek Orthodox Church. He spent seventeen years as RICOH site manager at ESAB Print Shop and the last three years as site manager at the Canon Print Shop at Otis Elevator.Mr. Hanna was a volunteer at Florence Little Theater and was an avid Gamecock fan. Mr. Hanna is survived by his wife, Jamie Poulas Hanna and their son, James Wesley Hanna; and his sons, Joel Hanna and Joshua Hanna, all of Florence; granddaughter, Kinsleigh Hanna; nephew, Christopher Gaddy (Aleshia); great nephew and niece, Jase and Jules Gaddy; and sisters, Dola Brooks (Paul Torri) of Myrtle Beach, SC, Vicki Broughton (Ted) of Manning, SC and Shirley Mitchell (George) of Weston, Wisconsin. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. The family will be receiving friends at the residence of Frances Parker, 510 Saluda Drive, Florence, SC and will have a time of fellowship there following the service.
