James Harris Crimminger, 82, of Florence, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2014, at his residence. Mr. Crimminger was born in Lancaster County, a son of the late Hazel J. Crimminger and Minnie Catoe Crimminger.He was a member of Mizpah Baptist Church and retired as a superintendent from Smurfit Stone Container.Mr. Crimminger was a veteran of the US Air Force. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter, Krystal Brown. Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Mildred Greene Crimminger; his children, Andy Crimminger (Jeanette) of Florence, MyraJones (Sherrill) of Charlotte, Phyllis Brown (Kenneth) of Florence and Kelvin Crimminger (Penny) of Columbia; his grandchildren, Kimberly Thomas (Wes), Adam Melton (Tabitha), Ryan Brown (Megan), Claire Brown, Hanna Bell (Brian), Emily Crimminger and Jackson Crimminger; nine great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Josie Adams, Hazelene Truesdale and Ozell Hunter (John). Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, 2402 S. Irby Street, Florence, SC. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at Mizpah Baptist Church.Entombment will be private. Memorials may be made to Mizpah Baptist Church, 233 N.
