James Edward Clark, 73, of Florence, SC passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 2020 after a long illness. Mr. Clark was born in Una, SC from the late Brooklyn Clark, Sr. and Fannie Foster.He graduated as Valedictorian of Lincoln High School Class of 1965. He served his country in 1967 during the Vietnam War.James furthered his education at Greenville Tech as a diesel mechanic and worked as a freight car mechanic with the railroad for 30 years.He was a member of Ridgeville Baptist Church in Inman, SC, but attended Shekinah Glory Sda in Florence.He was married to his true love, Bertha B. Norton. He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Brooklyn Jr. and Charles Foster. Surviving are his wife of Florence; sons, Randall Clark of Sumter, SC and Kelvin Clark of Boiling Springs, SC; daughters, Wylanda Clark of Greer, SC and Cathy Lee of Florence; seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; brother, Ronald Clark of Spartanburg, SC and a host of cousins, family, and friends.He was known to many of his family and friends as “Reb”. He will be laid to rest at the Florence National Cemetery. The family would like to thank each of you for your prayers and condolences.
