JAMES CLINTON ARD, JR. FLORENCE, SC James Clinton Ard, Jr., 80, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, June 4, 2017. Mr. J.C. Ard was born in Pamplico, SC a son of the late James Clinton Ard and Ila Poston Ard.He was an insurance salesman with South Atlantic and a truck driver for Sealtest.He enjoyed farming, gardening and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nella Friar Ard and brother, Wayne Ard. Surviving are his son, James (Margie) Ard; daughters, Brenda Ard and Janice (Matt) Cassidy; eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren;brothers, Edward Ard, Ronnie Ard and Jerry Ard and sister, Diane Cole. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC29502. The family will receive friends from 2 – 3 PM Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the service to follow at 3:00 PM in the chapel.Entombment will be held in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
