JACQUELYN DEAS MOSS FLORENCE, SC JACQUELYN DEAS MOSS, 84, of Florence, died Thursday, October 14, 2010 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mrs. Moss was born in Wrightsville, GA a daughter of the late David John and Mary Thelma Flowers Deas.She was the manager of Moss Mini Mart and loved being with her family She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Ellis Moss, Sr.; grandson, Jerry Ellis Moss, III; brothers, D.J. Deas, Marene Deas and Charles Hanna; sister, Mildred D. Johnson. Surviving are her children, Jerry Ellis (Ann) Moss, Jr., Mickey M. (Wendy) Moss, Vicki M. (Hamp) Bobbitt, Dawn M. (Henry) Arrington and Beth (Mike) Higdon, all of Florence; grandchildren, William "Ashley" Moss, Heather (Mike) Williamson, Bryan Moss, Bree Moss, Fallon Moss, Thomas Moss, Mickey Moss, Jr., Bradly (Katharine) Bobbitt, Brett (George) Williamson, Emily (Steven) Cote’ and Ellis Arrington; great-grandchildren, Tyler Gray, Mary Ellis Moss, Reed Williamson, Catherine Williamson, Hampton Bobbitt, Jacob Bobbitt, Lawson Williamson and Rivers Higdon; sister, Jimalee Schmidt of Lexington, SC; niece, Marta (Bubba) Haney and step-sister, Carribell Daniels of Lake City. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 181 E. Cheves Street, BTC, Suite 200, Florence, SC29501. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 16, 2010 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 - 2 PM Saturday at the funeral home prior to the service.
