Jackqueline "Jackie" Yarborough Thomas Florence, SC Jackqueline "Jackie" Yarborough Thomas, 75, of Florence, passed away Thursday, March 22, 2012 in a local hospital after an illness. Mrs. Thomas was born in Florence County, a daughter of the late Talmadge Joseph and Daisy Laura Burrows Yarborough. She retired as a teller and secretary from Wachovia Bank on Irby Street. Mrs. Thomas was a member of Unity Baptist Church, and was a former secretary of Greenwood Baptist Church. She loved working with crafts, crocheting, and flowers. Mrs. Thomas is survived by her husband of 56 years; James William "Billy" Thomas, Sr. of Florence; 3 children, James W. "Jim" (Susan) Thomas, Jr., Joseph W. "Joey" (Paige) Thomas, and Gaye (Tim) Lee, all of Florence; 8 grandchildren, Brandy (Jason) Doughty and Jamie Thomas, both of Florence, Allison (Brooks) Walker of West Columbia, Ryan Thomas of Columbia, Jordan Thomas andEmily Thomas, both of Lexington, Katie Lee and Jacob Lee, both of Florence; 3 step-grandchildren, Allen Sanderson of Spartanburg, Austin Sanderson of Clemson, Aaron Sanderson of Charleston; 4 great-grandchildren; siblings, Faye Hutchinson, Laura Bazen, Juanita Evans, Vivian Carnell, Judy (John) Young,Theron(Pert) Yarborough, and Maxie (Lynn) Yarborough; brother-in-law, Lowell Thomas; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 2:00PM Sunday, March 25, 2012 at Unity Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
