Jackie Yancey Hill

Jackie Yancey Hill, 77, of Effingham, SC passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015, at his residence. Mr. Hill was born in Effingham, SC, a son of the late Wilson Arthur Hill, Sr. and Rosaline Springs Hill.He was a lifelong resident of Effingham.He retired from Overnite Transportation and later worked with Country Squire Mobile Homes.Mr. Hill was a member of Elim Baptist Church and the Berean Men’s Sunday School Class.He was known and loved by many people in the community and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Surviving are his wife, Gail Rogers Hill of Effingham; children, Reggie (J.J.) Hill of Effingham, Robin (Tony) Turner of Florence, Ricky (Carolyn) Hill, Derrick (Rachel) Exum, Heather (Juan) Mendoza and Cory Hill, all of Effingham; grandchildren, Jeremy (Casey) Allen, Dustin Hill,Callie Hill, Carson Hill, Breezi (John Allen) Parker), Mandy Walters, Savanna Hill, Wade Hill, Crystal (Chance) Winstead, Toni Isgett, Hunter Isgett, Tyler Exum and Victoria Horne; great-grandchildren, Hannah Belle Allen, Baylee Mae Allen, Brantley Jeremy Allen, Gage Lane Parker and Vivian Abigail Winstead; and his sister, Judy Hill (Harold) Anderson of Effingham. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Wilson Arthur Hill, Jr. Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at Elim Baptist Church directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at the church on Wednesday.
