Jackie L. Evans

Jackie L. Evans departed this life on October 7, 2016, at her residence in Michie, Tennessee after an illness. Mrs. Evans was born in Florence, South Carolina on March 30, 1954 the daughter of Clydia McGee Hatfield and the late John Dudley Hatfield. She attended Florence County Schools and was a graduate of Betty Stevens Cosmetology School. She worked for many years in the retail industry. In addition to her husband George of 45 years, she is survived by her two daughters, Amanda (Derrick) Sims of Asheville, North Carolina and Angela Evans of Michie, Tennessee; grandchildren, Savannah Rae Sims and Jacob Alexander Sims, both of Asheville, North Carolina; brother, Donnie Hartfield of Florence, South Carolina; sister, Cynthia (Joseph) Johnson of Marion, South Carolina; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother, Henry (Hank) Hartfield. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 12, 2016, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow in Liberty Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery.
