Jack A. Huffman

Jack Anderson Huffman, 87, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Huffman was born a son of the late Roy Anderson Huffman and Ida Virginia Brightwell Huffman.He was a purchasing agent with GE starting in Lynchburg, VA and retiring after 36 years of service in Florence, SC. Following that retirement, he established Photo Services, retired again in 2000 and finally retired from Color Quick.Mr. Huffman rode with the GWRRA and Southern Cruisers Motorcycle Clubs. He was a Gold Wing man.Mr. Huffman was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church, the Elks Club and the NRA. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his sister, Gayle Dare Stinnett; brothers-in-law, Robert Hill, Dwight Hill and Arthur Stinnett. Mr. Huffman is survived by his wife, Carole Hill Huffman; daughter, Jackie Kay Kolesaric of Reynoldsburg, OH and her mother, Hazel Steffen of Lynchburg, VA; grandchildren, Amanda Kolesaric and Matthew Kolesaric; step-families,Ann, Ronnie, Katherine and Abigail Armstrong; Jim, Nichole, Tyler, Andrew Boatwright and Mark, Debra, Beth, Martha and Sue Armstrong; and in-laws, Carolyn Hill, Lewis and Marlene Hill, Elaine Hill and Charles Boatwright, Judy Hill andLarry Jackson, Keith and Brenda Hill and families. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 16, 2018, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Family will receive friends following the service at the funeral home.
