ITASKA "Tack" KIRBY DOZIER FLORENCE, SC Itaska "Tack" Kirby Dozier, 87, of Florence, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the McLeod Hospice House of Florence. Mrs. Dozier was born in Florence Co., SC a daughter of the late Clinton D. and Minnie Gleaton Kirby.She was a member of Unity Baptist Church and retired from Southern Bell as an operator after 37 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jesse Ludy Dozier; siblings, Everette Yarborough, Fema Isgett, Lattie Bell Jernigan Fraley, Modina Jeffords, Ida Lee Hill, Frelon Kirby, Marvin Kirby, Lindberg Kirby and Baby Fred Kirby. Surviving are her son, Russell (Theresa) Dozier of Florence; granddaughter, Kristin D. (Mike) Ramon of Fayetteville, NC; great-grandchildren, Cheyenne Dozier and Jonathon Dozier, both of Florence. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Unity Baptist Church, 2990 Pamplico Highway, Florence, SC29505 or to the McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC29502, www.mcleodfoundation.org. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Friday, January 11, 2013 at Unity Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 7 – 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
