Ira L. Ford, Jr.

IRA L. FORD, JR. Effingham, SC IRA L. FORD, JR., of Effingham, passed away on December 3, 2012 in a Florence hospital after an illness. Mr. Ford was born in Chadbourn, NC a son of the late Ira Ford, Sr. and Dannie Ivey Ford.He was a member of Friendship United Methodist Church, a member of the Mecca Masonic Lodge and a member of the Shriners. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Shelby Jean Ford, who passed away on September 6, 2004. Surviving are his sons, Dale Parker (Barbara) Ford of Effingham and Thomas Joseph (Kathy) Ford of Liberty, SC; daughters, Iras Ford (Norman) Jones of Mullins and Mary Alma (Michael) McCulloch of Hartsville; four grandsons; three granddaughters and six great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 2210 Hoffmeyer Road, Florence, SC29501. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
