Ilena Fountain Rogers

Ilena Fountain Rogers, beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, of Florence, SC, passed away on February 16, 2017, after an illness. Mrs. Rogers was born in Lake City, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Lee Coy Fountain and Hatha Powell Fountain of Florence, SC. She was a member of The Assembly Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and spending time with her family.She especially loved reading. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph M. Rogers. Surviving are her daughters, Kay R. Taylor (Christopher), Gail R. Bateman (Sammy) and her son Dan M. Rogers (Beverly), all of Florence; grandchildren, Abigail Black (Jared), Angela Lambert (Dean), Lee Rotan (Kate) Marty Rotan (Laurie), Stephanie Chapman (Tim), Danielle Cole (Allen) and Michelle Rogers.;eight great-grandchildren: Alena Black, Adaline Black, Leah Lambert, Addison Lambert, Ashton Rotan, Liam Rotan, Alayna Cole and Nicholas Cole. She was affectionately known to many cousins, nieces and nephews as Aunt Wink. She was pre-deceased by three sisters, Gladyeth Powlesland, Mabel James, Myrtle Chace and three brothers, Jesse Fountain, Eddie Fountain and John Fountain. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, February20, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 4 - 6 PM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home on Sunday, February 19, 2017.
