HUGH "SONNY" TURNER, III Effingham, S.C. Hugh "Sonny" Turner, III, 57, of Effingham, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012, after an extended illness. He was born in Florence, South Carolina, the son of the late Hugh "Bubba" Turner, Jr. and Marion Hanna Turner.He was a member of the Flintville Lodge #158 AFM, a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Faith and a member of the SC Auctioneer Association.He was an employee of Florence Co. Public Works, was a farmer and in the early 80's, he organized the Florence Auction Company. He is survived by his fiancée, Janice Greene and her children, Melinda (Danny) Haithcock and James Archie (Ellie) Greene, all of Timmonsville; grandchildren, Josh (Maggie) Haithcock of Newbern, NC, Zack Haithcock, Christian Haithcock, Casey Greene and James Corey (Lee Lee) Greene, all of Timmonsville; great-grandchildren, Savannah Greene and Dalton Greene, both of Timmonsville; brother, Donnie Turner of Effingham; sister, Kathy (Dooley) Yarborough of Effingham; nieces and nephews, Carwell Schetter and Elizabeth (Todd) Schetter, both of Louisiana, Detra (Patrick) Baker of Aberdeen, NC, Ashley Nicole (Michael) Tkachenko and Micah Tkachenko, both of Raeford, NC, Dusti Lauren (Alan) Alridge, Brodie Alridge and Abby Yarborough, all three of Effingham and a close friend, Tommy Lee Robinson of Effingham. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, November 8, 2012, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Turner Cemetery.
