Hubert Evans

Mr. Hubert Evans, 80, husband of the late Janet Evans, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at McLeod Hospice House. Visitation will be held at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 7pm-9pm.Funeral will be graveside at the Florence National Cemetery Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm. Mr. Evans was born on September 16, 1936 in Pamplico; son of the late Richard and Mary Ard Evans. Mr. Evans served in the United States Army in Germany and he later retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company after 25 years. Mr. Evans was a loving man full of life and laughter. Surviving are his children, Debra Hill of Florence, Steven Evans of Charleston, and Stacie (Scotty) Keefe of Pamplico; grandchildren, Sarah Kimball Hill, Greyson Dowling, Joshua Keefe, Corley Keefe, and Samuel Hill; two sisters, Annie Joe Hicks and Barbara Ann Loflin. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Mr. Evans will be greeted in heaven by his mother and father, his wife, and his eldest granddaughter (Ashton Evan Hill). The family wants to extend their thankfulness to all of those who helped care for Mr. Evans at Commander for the past 12 years.
