Herod Lenneau Clark

Herod Lenneau Clark, 82, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, September 05, 2015 at the McLeod Hospice House after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Clark was born in Horry Co., SC a son of the late Isaac Dewey Clark and Vencie Gerald Clark.He was a veteran of the US Air Force and formerly worked for Guaranty Bank & Trust and Commercial Credit Corp., which is now CITI Group.He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a member of the 65+ Couples Class. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Scott Kendall Clark; 3 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Betty Parker Clark of Florence; sons, Steven Alan (D.D.) Clark of Rusk, TX and Stanley Lynn (Neva) Clark of Columbia, SC; grandchildren, Jessica Gibbs, Pressley Clark and J.T. Matthews; great-grandchildren, Elly, Grey and Memphis Gibbs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC29502, www.mcleodfoundation.org, Southside Baptist Church Building Fund, 1356 Pineland Drive, Florence, SC29505 or to a charity of one’s choice. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in the Florence National Cemetery.
