HERMAN WILSON “BUCK” POSTON FLORENCE, SC Herman Wilson “Buck” Poston, 82, of Florence, SC, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2014, at McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mr. Poston was born in Friendfield, SC a son of the late Venslow Isaiah Poston and Juanita Timmons Poston.He was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he was a Sunday School teacher and a member of the Baptist Men and the Co-Ed 65 Plus Sunday School Class.He retired from Union Carbide, enjoyed the outdoors, bird watching and loved his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Poston; two brothers and four sisters. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, June Carol Hanna Poston of Florence; children, Terry (Joan) Poston of Florence, Gwen (Steve) Buffkin of Lamar, David (Marci) Poston of St. Augustine, FL and Dawn (Stephen) Bryan of Florence; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brother, DeLeon Poston of Texas and a number of nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice of the Pee Dee, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC29502. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 13, 2014 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.A private burial will take place Monday at the Florence National Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the funeral home.
