Herman Borey Broach

Herman Borey Broach, 83, of Hartsville, SC, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. Mr. Broach was born a son of the late Ernest Borey Broach and Ella Mae Hatchell Broach. He was a veteran of the US Army and a retired Sonoco truck driver of forty-one years. Mr. Broach was a member of Darlington Pentecostal Holiness Church as well as a member of Sonoco Old Timers and the 1,000,000 Mile Club. He is survived by his daughter, Kathy Burkett (Gerry) of Hartsville; grandchildren, Amanda Broach Robbins, James Gerrett (Ashleigh) Burkett, Geoffrey Austin Burkett (Melissa); great-grandchildren, Jordyn, Dylan, Marley and Paisley; and brothers, Earnest Broach (Betty), Ranerson Broach (Mary) and Ralph Broach (Annie Mae). In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Betty Lee Isgett Broach; son, Calvin James Broach; sister, Janette Hawkins, and brothers, Larry Olen Broach and Charles R. Broach. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Garden of Memories. Family will receive friends at his home on Saturday in Hartsville, SC and from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to McLeod Hospice, P. O.
