Herbert Lee Evans Effingham, SC Herbert Lee Evans, 60, of Effingham, passed away on Sunday, December 23, 2012 in a local health care facility. Mr. Evans was born in Florence Co., SC, a son of the late Hartman and Mary Morris Evans.He was the Owner and Operator of H.L. Evans Mobile Home Movers until he became disabled.Herbert was a loving husband and father who loved his family dearly.He loved fishing and farming. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by a son, Hartman Lee Evans; a grandchild, Katelyn Kirk; and a brother, Jack Evans. Surviving are his wife of 42 years, Wanda Faye Owens Evans; three children, Tammy (JL) Driver, Melissa (Ron) Kirk, and Britney Evans all of Effingham; five grandchildren, Abigail, Ashlyn, and Jarron "Buck" Kirk, Zayne and Zyler Broach; two sisters, Sylvia (Wayne) Jenkins of Georgetown and Barbara (Harvey) Grainger of Effingham; a brother, Randy Evans of Columbia; and several special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, December 27, 2012 in the chapel of Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow in Elim Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M.-12:00 Noon Thursday, December 27 at the residence, and there will be a visitation with viewing from 1-2:00 P.M.
