Herbert Elonder Flowers

Herbert Elonder "Scott" Flowers Pamplico, SC Herbert Elonder "Scott" Flowers, 91 of Pamplico, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2012 in the McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mr. Flowers was born in Pamplico, SC, a son of the late Robert Lessley and Maggie Estelle Flowers.He was a Veteran of the US Army having served during WWII.Mr. Flowers was a lifelong farmer, a member of the Woodman of the World, and a member of Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church. He is preceded in death in addition to his parents by five brothers; and a sister. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Dove Turner Flowers; four sons, Gerald "Jerry" Flowers, Sr. Herbert Raymond "Ray" Flowers, Richard Arnold (Vernelle) Flowers, Sr., and Michael Larue "Mike" (Gail) Flowers all of Pamplico; ten grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, March 6, 2012 in Mt. Elon Free Will Baptist Church.Burial will follow in the church cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Hospice House, PO Box 100551, Florence, SC 29502 or the V.F.W. Post 3181, 236 S. Greer Rd., Florence, SC 29506.
