HENRY LEE "PEE WEE" BURRIS CHARLESTON, SC HENRY LEE "PEE WEE" BURRIS, 79, of Charleston, formerly of Florence, died Wednesday, September 22, 2010 in a Charleston hospital after an illness. Mr. Burris was born in Florence Co., SC a son of the late Henry Lee and Maude Floyd Burris.He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and worked in construction.He loved baseball and softball. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mildred Frances Burris; two sons, Anthony Lee Bernard Burris and Henry Lee "Buck" Burris; brother, Frank Burris and sister, Virginia Johnson. Surviving are his son, Damon Burris of Myrtle Beach, SC; loving companion, Lanell Matthews of Florence and her children, Harold (Beverly) Matthews and Connie (Andy) Fike along with their families; niece, Teresa (Charlie) Stoeppler of Charleston; grandchildren, Randin Lawrimore, Addison Fike, Brooke Tindal and Chelsea Stoeppler. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, September 25, 2010 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
