Henry Arthur Hinson

Henry Arthur Hinson, 72, of Florence, passed away surrounded by his family on Saturday, July 20, 2019. Mr. Hinson was born the son of the late Eva Mae Long Hinson Strickland and Edgar L. Hinson and the late Grover Strickland, his step-father. He was a member of Quinby Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and an Elder.He was a route salesman for American Bakery and retired after 30 years with the company. Mr. Hinson loved everyone and everyone loved him, especially little children. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Horace Hinson and Bill Hinson; and sister, Sue Sawyer. Mr. Hinson is survived by his wife, Linda Miller Hinson; sons, Allen Hinson (Dawn) of Florence and Reverend Keith Hinson (Tammy) of Florence; five grandchildren, Kelsey, Kirby, Grace, Madison and Matt; one great-grandchild, Lennon; brother, Lee Strickland of Lancaster and sisters, Patsy Baxley of Maryland and Doris Buffkin of Conway. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, July 24, 2019, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Quinby Baptist Church, 950 East Ashby Road, Florence, SC 29506.
