Henry Derrick DeFields Florence, SC Henry Derrick DeFields, 45, of Florence, passed away on October 3, 2013 at his residence. Mr. DeFields was born in Santa Monica, California a son of Henry “Hank” Jay DeFields and the late Grace Griffin DeFields.He loved the outdoors, hunting and fishing. He was preceded in death by his mother, Grace, who passed away in 2011. Surviving are his father of Florence; siblings, Brenda Smith of Effingham, Terry (Gray) Ledford of Florence, Mark (Brandy) DeFields of Coward and Chris (Kelly) Rice of California; fiancé, Pam Barnhill of Florence; his faithful canine companions, Pee Wee and Shadow; nieces and nephews, Rhonda Stone, Buddy DeFields, Cameron DeFields, Alysha Carlson, Jason Smith, Micheal Bryant and Arenda McClam. Memorials may be made in his name to the BreastCancerFund.org. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 6, 2013 at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church.As per Henry’s request, please wear jeans and a t-shirt to the service. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Sunday at the church prior to the service and other times at the residence of Mrs. Terry Ledford, 2103 Vance Drive, Florence.
