HELEN LOUISE HATFIELD FANNING FLORENCE, SC Helen Louise Hatfield Fanning, 96, of Florence, passed away on Friday, March 25, 2016 in a local health care facility after an illness. Mrs. Fanning was born in Bishopville, SC a daughter of the late Richard Wiley Hatfield and Bertha Barnes Hatfield.She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and retired from the Mental Retardation Center as a LPN. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John William Fanning; brothers, Oris Hatfield, Norwood Hatfield and Hugh Hatfield; sisters, Teresa Smith and Vera Hatfield. Surviving are her son, Ken (Sonya) Fanning of Florence; daughter, Jeanne Fanning of Florence; granddaughter, Katherine Fanning of Florence; sisters, Mary Atkinson of Sumter and Lois Anderson of Hopkins, SC. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, South Carolina Chapter, 4124 Clemson Blvd. Suite L, Anderson, SC 29621. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in the Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum Chapel.Burial will follow in the cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
