Helen Benton Crawford

Helen Benton Crawford, 92, of Florence, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Mrs. Crawford was born a daughter of the Anniebell Turner Benton and Carl Allard Benton.She was a member of Leonora Charter #30 of The Order of The Eastern Star for 69 years.She was also a member of Magnolia Court #5 Order of The Amaranth. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband, L. C. Crawford; siblings, Betty Young (John), Sibyl Saverance (Glenn), Margaret Bell (Willie), Patricia Richter (Jack), Hallie McCutcheon, Carlton Benton (Earlene), and William Benton (Lindell) and her beloved puppies. She is survived by several special nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 20, 2019, at Mount Hope Mausoleum directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Entombment will follow the service. Family will receive friends from 10:00 – 11:00 AM on Friday at Mount Hope Cemetery Chapel. The family wanted to extend their special thanks to the staff of Commander Nursing Center for their care.
