Hayward Manning Rogers

Hayward Manning Rogers, 70, of Florence, passed away on April 24, 2016 at Carolinas Hospital. Mr. Rogers was born in Florence Co., SC a son of the late Dick and Grace James Rogers.He was a finish carpenter, loved driving his tractor and family and friends always gathered for his grilling, according to his niece, he was the best griller.He was a family man that loved his family and his favorite vacation spot was the mountains. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Charles “Mac” Rogers, Sr. Surviving are his wife, Conetha McKissick Rogers; children, Angela (Dakota French) Rogers and Lisa (John Rice) Huggins; grandchildren, Meagan (Danny Ray) Rogers and Thomas Huggins; great-grandchildren, J.J. Miles and Jeffrey Ray; brothers, Richard “Billy” Rogers and Jimmy (Jane) Rogers; sister, Kathy (Jobie) Lee; sister-in-law, Faye Rogers and a host of nieces, nephews and other family members. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Tuesday night at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 27, 2016 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in Prospect United Methodist Church Cemetery.
