Harvey Lee Collins

Harvey Lee Collins, 71, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Mr. Collins was born in Horry Co., SC a son of the late William Henry Collins and Mamie Jane Cook Collins.He retired as a mechanic for the SC Highway Department in 2008. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley Dean Jordan Collins and by a brother, Jimmy Collins. Surviving are his daughters, Sherry Lynn Collins and Cheryl Collins (Dionicio) Hernandez, both of Florence; brother, William David Collins of Florence and three sisters, Margaret Montgomery of Aynor, June Holt and Patricia Mae Jordan, both of Conway, SC. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm Friday, January 12, 2018 at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in Mizpah Cemetery.
