Harvey C. Hinds

HARVEY C. HINDS FLORENCE, SC Harvey C. Hinds, 87, of Florence, passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013, at a local hospital. Mr. Hinds was born in Florence County, a son of the late Oliver James Hinds and Georgia E. Williford Hinds.He was a veteran of the US Army having served in World War II and a retired yard conductor with CSX Railroad.Mr. Hinds wasamember of Faith Chapeland had been a charter member of Faith Southern Methodist Church. Surviving are his loving wife of 67 years, Sadie L. Hinds, and his sister, Itlean H. Gray of Virginia. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, March 4, 2013, at Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel. Burial will follow the service directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Monday at the Florence Memorial Gardens Chapel. Memorials may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
