Harold Stokes

Harold Stokes, 84, of Conway, SC, passed away Monday, January 12, 2026.

He was the son of the late Whit Stokes and Agnes Morrell Stokes.

Harold was all about the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and working in his garden. He loved just sitting on his porch, watching the birds, and enjoying the calm. When he wasn’t outside, you could usually find him watching a Braves game. He was a huge fan and loved the excitement of baseball just as much as he did the quiet moments in nature.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his first wife of 57 years, Joyce Stokes.

Surviving are his wife, Judith Stokes; daughter, Pamela (Tony) Elliott; step children, Deanna Crislip of Newton Falls, OH and Donald Derflinger of Rogers, OH; grandchildren, Krystal Elliott of Austin, TX, Marissa (James) Grau of Charleston, SC, Chandler Ward, Hannah Ward both of Florence, SC, and Delaney Elliott of Columbia, SC; and sister, Carolyn (Jerry) Cribb of Hartsville, SC.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 21, 2026, from 12:00 – 1:00 PM at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM.

Burial will be at Florence National Cemetery at 2:00 PM.
