HAROLD PEARSON FLORENCE, SC Harold Pearson, 84, of Florence, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Mr. Pearson was born April 20, 1933 in Wilson, NC, a son of the late Furney Pearson and Lossie Ayers Pearson.He was a member of Truth Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church for fifty-eight years where he served as deacon, Sunday School teacher, choir leader and was a respected spiritual leader and never met a stranger.Mr. Pearson worked with CSX Railroad for forty-one years. Surviving are his devoted wife of 62 years, Shirley Glover Pearson; sons, David (Katherine) Pearson of Lexington and Larry (Nancy) Pearson of Florence; four grandchildren, Ashley Pearson (Brett) Seats, Tyler Pearson, Britney Pearson (Lance) Crouch and Justin (Amber) Pearson; and five great-grandchildren, Brynn, Lilly, Griffin, Olivia and Annabeth. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Truth Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church, 1400 West Evans Street, Florence with the funeral service to follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
