Harold Eugene Horton

HAROLD EUGENE HORTON, JR. FLORENCE, SC Harold Eugene Horton, Jr., 54, of Florence, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2014 at his residence after an illness. Mr. Horton was born in Camden, SC a son of Harold Eugene Horton, Sr. and the late Bonnie Dixon Horton.He was a US Army veteran having served in the 82nd Airborne and was a member of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his mother and by a sister, Vickie Lee Horton Stewart. Surviving are his wife, Ann Caulder Horton of Florence; children, Cainon Horton and Jacob Horton, both of Charleston and Miranda Horton of Camden; brother, Chuck (Jesseca) Horton of Florence; grandson, Tyler McCarthy and a number of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital For Children, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, SC29605 or to a charity of one’s choice. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at the Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
