Harold Hatfield

HAROLD HATFIELD Florence, SC Harold Hatfield, 88, of Florence, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mr. Hatfield was born in Sumter Co., SC a son of the late Leslie K. Hatfield and Mabel Prescott Hatfield.He graduated from Ashwood High School and from the University of South Carolina.He retired from DuPont, was a member of Central United Methodist Church where he coached church league basketball, was an avid golfer and had shot seven holes in one. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bobby and Billy Hatfield. Surviving are his daughters, Kathy (Stephen) Dore and Jennifer K. Hatfield, both of Florence; grandson, Jason (Michelle) Dore and great-grandchild, Peyton Elizabeth Dore. Memorials may be made to Central United Methodist Church, 225 W. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, August 22, 2016 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel with the family receiving friends from 1 – 2 before the service.
