Harold Lide Camlin

HAROLD LIDE CAMLIN, 82, of Florence, passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017. He was born in Florence, SC a son of the late Cecil Martin Camlin and Viola Miller Camlin and grew up farming.He was a very faithful member of the Florence Baptist Temple where he served as an usher. He was a former Sunday school teacher for the college and career and adult couples classes.He also served on the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Commission.Harold was President and Co-Owner of Camlin Packing Company and was former vice-president of the S.C. Meat Packers Association. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and three sisters. Surviving are his wife, Sandra Shaw Camlin of Florence; sons, Scott Mitchell Camlin of Florence and Stephen Lide (Grace) Camlin of Geneva, Florida; daughter, Cathy Camlin (Danny) Cook of Nebo, NC; grandchildren, Allecyn (Jon) Griffin of Marion, NC and Tyler Cook of Charlotte, NC; great-grandchild, Ben Griffin of Marion, NC and sister, Julia Camlin (Phil) Sellers of Hendersonville, NC. Memorials may be made to the Florence Baptist Temple, 2308 South Irby Street, Florence, SC 29505. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 PM Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at the Florence Baptist Temple with the service to be held at 2:00 PM.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
