Gresham Edward Oliver

Gresham Edward Oliver, 82, of Florence, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025.

He was born in Savannah, GA, the son of the late Melbourne Hendricks Oliver and Claude E. Oliver.

Mr. Oliver was a veteran of the US Army and worked in Retail Management. He loved his grandchildren, Bluegrass, dogs and golf.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Edith Oliver, a brother and three sisters.

Surviving are his children, Rebecca Oliver (Ken) Webb, Jonathan Franklin (Sandy) Oliver and James Vincent (Christina) Sandridge; grandchildren, Brittany (Jake) Westbrook, Rachel (Josh) Catterton, Samuel (Brooke) Catterton, Christina (Chris) Harris, Cassidy (Dustin) Bell, Jonathan (Stephanie) Thames, Nickolas Sandridge, Tyler Sandridge and Stephanie (David) Gibb; great-grandchildren, Laila Westbrook, Madison Marston, Austin Marston, Harper Harris, Lilly Harris, Waylon Catterton, Denver Catterton, Jenson Catterton, Sawyer Catterton, McKenzie Thames, Jonathan Thames, Jacob Thames, Liam Thames, Victoria Gibb, Thomas Gibb and Emily Gibb and sisters, Gail (David) Forro and Johnny Robinson.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Jayne Boswell Animal Shelter, 1434 South McCurdy Road, Florence, SC 29506.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at the funeral home.
