Gregory J. Anderson Florence, SC Gregory J. Anderson, 61, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at his residence after a courageous battle with cancer. Mr. Anderson was born in Miami, FL., a son of the late Fred W. and Velmon Coleman Anderson.He is a US Army Veteran having served during Vietnam.Mr. Anderson was previously employed with Jerry’s heating and air for ten years. Surviving are his wife of 21 years, Patricia Stoll Anderson; two sons, Gregory Anderson of New York and Jason Anderson of Ft. Leavenworth, KS; a daughter, Cassandra Anderson of Florence; two step-daughters, Christine Stapleton of Griffin, GA and Dixie Sheppard of N. Myrtle Beach; three step-sons, Gary Perrin, Jr., Philip Perrin, and Robert Perrin, all of Atlanta, GA; three brothers, Alan Anderson of Chula Vista, CA, Bill Anderson of Roanoke, VA, and Mark Anderson of Concord, NC; a sister, Mary L. Anderson of Lamar; seven grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 9, 2013 in the Florence National Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
