Grady Mclaurin Parrott

Grady McLaurin Parrott Grady, 58 of Florence, SC, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at his residence after a valiant fight with cancer. The family and friends would like to offer special thanks to Dr. Bajaj and medical staff. Grady was born March 3, 1956 in Timmonsville, SC, to Grace Parrott and the late Frank Parrott Sr. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to everyone. Grady enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and carpentry work. He was a jack of all trades, always offering a helping hand to anyone in need. Survivors include his daughter, Melody Parrott Mashburn (Gregg); his sons, Michael Parrott (Summer) and Mason Parrott (Ashley); grandchildren include Briley, Nathan, Krislyn, Jasmine and Kayden;brother, Frank Parrott Jr. (Hollie); sister, Melissa Powell (Donnie); former wife, Lucy Parrott; Dana Smith (special cousin) and Woody Broach (special friend); and aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces he loved. In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a sister, Nadine Parton and a brother, Glenn Parrott. A memorial service will be held at Church at Parkland in Florence, SC, on Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. The Family will receive friends at 3542 Alligator Road, Florence, SC.
