Gracie Hudson Spires Allen Pamplico, SC Gracie Hudson Spires Allen, 90, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at her residence. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, 2013 at Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery, directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Mrs. Allen was born in Florence County, SC a daughter of the late Johnnie Jordan and Jessie Higgins Hudson. She was a faithful member of Lebanon Free Will Baptist Church, Senior Ladies Sunday School Class and the Ladies Auxillary. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond D. Spires; 2nd husband, C.L. Allen, Sr.; parents, 4 sisters; 1 brother; granddaughter, Michelle McKenzie and grandson, Troy Spires. Surviving are her loving family; children, Raymond David (Kathy) Spires of West Columbia, C.L. (Joyce) Allen, Jr. of Murfreesboro, TN., Joyce (Jimmy) Broach of Effingham, Nancy Eaddy of Pamplico, Jack (Cheryl) Allen of Effingham, Larry (Linda) Allen of Effingham and Phil (Debbie) Allen of Pamplico;18 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 Thursday at the funeral home and other times at her residence.
