GRACE DEFIELDS Florence, SC GRACE DEFIELDS, 74, of Florence, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011, at her residence after an illness. Mrs. DeFields was born in Dillon County, SC, the daughter of the late William H. Griffin and Addie Mae Hunt Wilkins.Mrs. DeFields was a member of Florence Baptist Temple for thirty-eight years and a member of the Senior Adults Sunday School Class where she served as Ministry Leader and secretary. Surviving are her loving husband of forty-three years, Hank Jay DeFields , of the home;two daughters, Terry (Gray) Ledford ofConway, SC and Brenda Smith of Effingham, SC; two sons, Henry DeFields and Mark (Brandy) DeFields, both of Coward, SC;two brothers, William Griffin, Jr. and Charles Griffin, both of Florence, SC;two sisters, Bernice Couture and Edith DiMarzio, both of Darlington, SC ; eleven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 12, 2011 at Florence Baptist Temple.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
