Glenda Ferrell Myatt

Glenda Ferrell Myatt, 83, of Florence, SC, formerly of Charleston, SC passed away on Friday, September 07, 2018, surrounded by family following a brief illness. Mrs. Myatt was born in Harnett County, NC, to the late Jasper and Corina Ferrell.She was predeceased by her husband of almost 40 years, James A. Myatt, Sr., her son, James A. Myatt, Jr. and her brother, Wray Ferrell.She is survived by her daughters Anna (John) Murray of Tampa, FL and Amy (Eddie) Lewis of Florence, SC.In addition to her daughters, she is survived by two sisters, Edna Bullard and Golda Weathers of Fuquay Varina, NC. “Gigi” as she was affectionately known is also survived by her grandchildren; Alexa Myatt, Meredith Murray, Elisabeth Murray, Sam Jones, Grayson Jones and former son-in-law Danny Jones. Mrs. Myatt graduated from Fuquay Springs High School and attended Hardbarger Business College.Mrs. Myatt retired as office manager for Myatt Electric Co. in Charleston, SC, where she was a member of First Baptist Church.After moving to Florence, she joined First Presbyterian Church and volunteered there weekly. Services will be held on Saturday, October 06, 2018, at 11:00 am. at First Presbyterian Church, 700 Park Ave. Florence, SC 29501.Family will receive visitors immediately following the service. There will be a private burial in Charleston, SC.The family wishes to express their gratitude to her friends for their kindness during her illness.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Florence, SC in her name.
