GLADYS C. OWENS Florence, S.C. GLADYS CHRISTINE LEE OWENS, 84, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, November 18, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born in Chester, SC, the daughter of the late Franklin Lewis Craig and Mary Belle Allen Craig.Mrs. Owens retired from Aiken & Company after over thirty years of service.She was a member of Oakdale Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of thirty-seven years, Robert Austin Owens, Sr; her children, William Lee and Edward Kelly of Columbia, Joel (Margie) Lee, Debbie (Ken) Jackson, Robert (Ann Elizabeth) Owens, Jr., all of Florence, and John (Melissa) Owens of Gainsville, FL;five grandchildren, Jennifer (Brad) Owens, Emily Jackson, Tyler Jackson, all of Florence, Austin Owens and Holly Ann Owens, of Gainsville, FL;three step-grandchildren, her brother, Francis (Linda) Craig of Chester; her sister-in-law, Geraldine Craig of Chester, eight step-great grandchildren and two step-great-great grandchildren, Cameron Brooks Garcia and Makyncie Garcia. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 21, 2012, in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Oakdale Baptist Church, 3760 Southborough Road, Florence, SC29501.
