Ginger Floyd Mims

Ginger Floyd Mims, 72, of Florence, SC passed away Thursday, July 17, 2025.

She was born in Florence, SC., the daughter of the late Lillie Mae Hodge Floyd and Henry Edward Floyd.

She was a devoted member of South Florence Baptist Church, where she served as the church librarian for many years and had a deep love for crafts. She also opened her heart and home as a foster parent for many years, providing care and support to countless children in need.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Frankie Mims, and brothers, Thomas Edward Floyd and Clark H. Floyd.

Surviving is her son, Kenneth Pigate; brothers, Robert E. (Harriet) Floyd and Ravenel (Ann) Floyd; and sisters, Rhett Bacot, Lana (William) Jones, and Louise “Cookie” (Glenn) Rouse.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to South Florence Baptist Church.

A memorial service will 2:00 PM Saturday, July 19, 2025 at South Florence Baptist Church with the visitation to follow.
