Gilbert Eugene Rogers

Gilbert Eugene Rogers, 82, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, June 2, 2019. Mr. Rogers was born a son of the late Ellie Langston Rogers and Frank Leslie Rogers.He was a graduate of Carolina College of Commerce and the retired owner of G. E. Rogers Construction.Mr. Rogers was a member of Calvary Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Little Gil Rogers and Baby Rogers. Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife, Beverly Hanna Rogers; daughters, Pamela Tedder (Robert) of North Carolina and Renee Price of Fort Mill, SC; son, Jay Rogers (Crystal) of Timmonsville; 7 grandchildren, Tracey Ridings, Desmond Lynch, Robbie Tedder, Bradley Tedder, Hailey Price, Christian Rogers and Hayden Rogers; 9 great-grandchildren,; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Marilyn Langston (Reggie) of Columbia, SC. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, June 6, 2019, in the Chapel atCalvary Baptist Church.A private inurnment will take place at Mount Hope Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home. Family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Wednesday in the Sanctuary of Calvary Baptist Church.
