Gilbert "Gil" Armond Tallon

Gilbert “Gil” Armond Tallon, 72, of Scranton, SC, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016. Mr. Tallon was born in Olanta, SC, a son of the late Joseph Isaac Tallon and Lorene McClam Tallon.He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.Mr. Tallon was manager at Murray Mitchell Lighting and had fifty years of service with the company. Surviving are his wife, Teresa Lambert Tallon; daughter, Stacie (Brandon) Johnson of Florence; grandchild, Tallon Johnson, and a new grandchild is expected in the nextmonth; children by other parents, Scott and Heather Brown of Florence and their son, Landon Brown; mother-in-law, Betty E. Adams of Florence; and close friend, Edward Mitchell, of Florence. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Tallon; sister, Katherine T. Revels, and brother-in-law, Jimmy Revels. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2016, at Bethel Baptist Church.Burial will follow at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
