Gertrude Hyman Keefe

Gertrude Hyman Keefe, 90, of Florence, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2015. Mrs. Keefe was born in Friendfield, a daughter of the late Edward Lawrence and Ida Jane Calcutt Hyman. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband, Herman Odell Keefe, who died in 2008 and ten brothers and sisters. Surviving are her two children, a son, Herman O. Keefe, Jr. (Jean) of Florence and a daughter, Elaine Easterling (Phillip) of Asheville, NC; two grandchildren, Avey Jane Lute (Daniel) of Birmingham, AL and Jason Easterling (Talor Vann) of Chattanooga, TN; and one loved great-granddaughter, Avey Grace Lute. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 8, 2015, at Florence Memorial Gardens directed by Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.
