Gerald Moody Ham Florence, SC Gerald Moody Ham, 78, of Florence, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 in a Florence hospital. Mr. Ham was born in Timmonsville, SC a son of the late Fred V. Ham and Julia Anderson Ham.He was a US Army Veteran having served during the Korean War, was a member of College Park Baptist Church and a member of the VFW and the Gold Wing Riders Association.He was an honorary member of the Timmonsville Rescue Squad and an avid camper and fisherman.Mr. Ham retired after 27 years from Copper's Industry as a truck driver. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Willard Ham, Edison Ham and a sister, Crystal Chatwood. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Janie Powers Ham of Florence; children, Steve (Jean) Ham and Tammy Ham Timmons, both of Florence; brothers, David Legrand Ham and Fred V. Ham, Jr., both of Timmonsville; grandchildren, Kayla, Delaney and Lauren and by a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, October 23, 2011 in the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel.Burial will follow in Florence Memorial Gardens with military honors.
