Gail O. Belflower

Gail O. Belflower, 63, of Effingham, SC, passed away on Wednesday, October 21, 2026.

She was born in Charlotte, NC, the daughter of the late Belton “Joe” Owens and Bertha Gosnell Owens. Mrs. Belflower adored her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was an avid NASCAR fan and loved watching races with her family, her favorite racecar drivers being Dale Earnhart and Dale Earnhart Jr. She enjoyed reading Harry Potter books and watching hallmark movies.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sibling, Joey Owens.

Surviving are her husband, of 44 years, Joseph R. Belflower; sons, Bradley Joe “B.J.” Belflower and Michael (Nicole) Belflower; grandchildren, Josh Belflower, Kiera Belflower, David “Boo” Belflower, Kaitlyn “KK” Belflower, and Olivia Sperry; sisters, Rene Varnadore and Dale (Wayne) Barefoot.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.
