FREIDA ELIZABETH GODWIN GREEN Florence, SC Freida Elizabeth Godwin Green, 90, of Florence, passed away on Tuesday, October 04, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House after an illness. Mrs. Green was born in Hazelhurst, GA a daughter of the late Joseph Allen Godwin and Mettie Irene Parker Godwin.She was a member of Highland Park United Methodist Church and the Wesley Bible Class.She had been a dressmaker and loved gardening, flowers, sewing and cooking. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Wesley Green; daughter, Johnnie Elizabeth “Beth” Green and sister, Getha Stokes Hallman. Surviving are her daughters, Brenda Elaine Green (Robert) Brunson of Columbia, SC and Rita Green (Joe) Robertson of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren, Robert Jason Brunson, Wesley Arbie Turner, Stephanie Elaine Hughes and Lauren Celeste Stallings; great-grandchildren, Casey Turner, Carson Murray, Riley Stallings, Jordan Hughes and Colton Hughes. Memorials may be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church, 1300 Second Loop Road, Florence, SC 29505. The family will receive friends from 6 – 8 PM Wednesday at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home, 2402 South Irby Street, Florence, SC29505. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday, October 6, 2016 at Highland Park United Methodist Church.Burial will follow in Mount Hope Cemetery.
