Frank Christopher "Chris" Tomlinson

Frank Christopher “Chris” Tomlinson, 41, of Summerton, SC, passed away on Tuesday, September 15, 2015. Chris was born in Florence, SC, a son of the late Frank Michael “Mickey” Tomlinson and Sylvia Maxine Powers Tomlinson.He attended John Calvin Presbyterian Church. Chris was an avid hunter, golfer and fisherman and loved all sports. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal grandparents, Estallene Grice Powers and Malcolm “Mac” Powers, brother, Kevin Tomlinson and paternal grandfather, Frank Liston Tomlinson. Surviving are his paternal grandmother, Leona McDougald Tomlinson of Florence; niece, Amber (Scott Matthews) Tomlinson and her mother, Peggy Tomlinson; great-niece, Maddie Matthews; Aunts Carolyn Hooks, Mae Moody, Ann (Derrell) Powell and Linda (Nathan) Sink; Uncle Steve (Donna) Tomlinson; special Aunt Sandra (Kelly) Lee and a number of cousins. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2015, at Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home.Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Florence Humane Society, P. O. Box 4808, Florence, SC29502.
